BeamNG.drive

BeamNG.drive is an immersive and sophisticated driving simulation game that is actively being developed by BeamNG GmbH. While the game remains incomplete, players are able to engage with its alpha build. BeamNG.drive excels in offering an expansive selection of vehicles and environments, providing gamers with extensive customization options and an authentic driving experience. The game can be accessed via Steam, although it should be noted that as of my knowledge cutoff in early 2023, BeamNG.drive is not a free-to-play game.

As a testament to its cutting-edge design, BeamNG.drive is powered by a proprietary engine designed specifically to deliver a highly realistic physics simulation, outclassing many competing titles in terms of authenticity.

Gameplay

BeamNG.drive offers players an immersive driving simulation experience, replete with a diverse array of vehicles and environments, ranging from urban streets to challenging off-road paths. Players can tailor their vehicles to their liking, enhancing the game's appeal for repeated playthroughs. Unlike many arcade-style driving games, BeamNG.drive focuses heavily on the physics of the driving experience, with vehicle behavior accurately reflecting the interactions with varying surfaces and conditions.

Graphics

Contrary to the provided text, BeamNG.drive's visuals are powered by the Torque 3D engine, which has been heavily modified to suit the game's advanced needs. It boasts lifelike graphics that enhance the player's immersion into the game's environments. From meticulously detailed car models to diverse landscapes, customization is at the forefront, ensuring that both vehicles and settings offer a visual feast.

Replayability

BeamNG.drive supports a thriving multiplayer community, allowing gamers to enjoy the game with others. The game's non-linear approach ensures that there are no set restrictions on what a player can explore or drive, providing limitless opportunities for gameplay. What's new?

BeamNG.drive is available on the Windows PC platform. A Bremen developer BeamNG released the game back in 2015. Since that time, the company has been adding more cars and a wide range of updates to the game. On June 30, 2021, they introduced the Vulkan API. As for the new platforms, the developers say they don’t plan to release PlayStation, Xbox, or Linux versions. They decided to focus their total attention on Windows. They don’t work on either Android or iOS versions as well. Instead, they improve the mechanics of the game. On June 3, 2021, they changed tire physics, making it more realistic. Their last updates were on Gridmap and Pigeon Revamp, completely new Ibishu Wigeon, Traffic Signals, and graphics improvements. The company is planning to add advanced physical rendering, dimmed light, and mirror light. The new patch is going to appear soon in the game. With the new updates, the company hopes to make BeamNG.drive even more realistic. Its physical engine will recreate every detail of the vehicle in real-time. Players expect to see more maps appear soon. Yet, there were no announcements about the maps from the company. They are totally focused on the brand new Vulkan API that helps to bring GPU and CPU in balance. With this API, users will be able to enjoy more vehicles on numerous levels. There will be no glitches on complicated routes too. The graphics will stay the same, yet the game will run smoothly. The company has already tested Ryzen 5 4600H and NVIDIA GTX 1650.
