Quarterfinal Confrontations: The Road to the League of Legends Esports Cup Final

The Esports World Cup is now in full-force as the League of Legends knockout bracket races ahead. The competition has advanced so quickly that, although it may seem like the event has just begun, a significant portion of the teams have already been eliminated and the brackets are swiftly narrowing down the competitors.

Recent sessions saw a dramatic turn of events during the group stage and the early knockout rounds. Two teams from the group stages were eliminated following their last matches. In addition, two more teams were removed after their quarterfinal battles in the knockout bracket. As a result, just six teams are now in contention, with four of those set to depart from the tournament today.

The remaining rounds promise exciting confrontations, which will be structured as follows:

  • The final two quarterfinal matches will feature a clash between Gen.G Esports and FlyQuest, with the champion securing a place in the semifinals against G2 Esports.
  • The other quarterfinal will see T1 face Movistar KOI, with the victor set to compete in the semifinals against Anyone's Legend.

Following these matches, two teams will be eliminated from the quarterfinals, and the subsequent semifinal round will further reduce the field to determine the two finalists who will compete tomorrow. Looking at the remaining squads, who is seen as the favorite to emerge victorious?
