Leak Suggests Persona 6 Emblem Revealed: Anticipation Builds for Atlus' Next JRPG Marvel
Gossip circulates about a potential "Temporary" Persona 6 emblem being disclosed unexpectedly. Atlus stands out for its impeccably timed release schedules, outshining many in the Japanese gaming sector. The year 2023 saw them unveiling the Etrian Odyssey Collection, which bundled together remastered versions of the trilogy alongside Persona 5 Tactica, a fresh derivative of their internationally acclaimed franchise. Yet, 2024 promises to be even more remarkable with the launch of Persona 3 Reload, the soon-to-arrive Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, and the October-slated Metaphor: ReFantazio. This year, each of its leading series is set to receive new entries or debut releases, raising questions about future projects.
Currently, the gaming community and media are abuzz with speculation about the potential unveiling of Persona 6. Despite Atlus maintaining an airtight silence on this forthcoming cornerstone of the JRPG saga, snippets and teases have been surfacing over recent years, primarily attributed to the insider Midori. This individual has fast become a pivotal figure in leaking Sega and Atlus-related developments. A revelation made by Midori weeks earlier hinted at green becoming the dominant theme for the next Persona installment, a detail seemingly corroborated by a recent leak.
A recent contribution from Midori on platform X unveiled what appears to be a provisional logo for Persona 6, signaling the game's existence beyond mere speculation. The logo features the letter 'P' superimposed on the numeral six against a green backdrop.
This revelation coincides with the confirmation that Katsura Hashino, director of several major Atlus JRPGs, and Shigenori Soejima, a significant character designer, are scheduled to appear at the SGF 2024. There, they plan to discuss Metaphor: ReFantazio, yet mention of Persona 6 at Geoff Keighley’s event seems improbable. Insights into Persona 6 are more likely to emerge either at a dedicated event in December or possibly at The Game Awards, where the gaming world eagerly anticipates the first official announcement of Persona 6.
